Have you been watching our stories today? We tackled our limewash fireplace project and walked you through the whole process. ?? We’ll be doing this to the exterior of our home in January and wanted to give it a test run. Wanna know the coolest thing about the Classico Limewash by @romabiopaints?? You have 5 days to wash it all off if you don’t like it. ? This is PERFECT for those who are afraid to commit! Let’s see a raise of hands of those who want to change their brick color but are too afraid to commit?? ??‍♀️??‍♂️That was us too…until this.

▫️Product: Classico Limewash by @romabiopaints in the color Avorio White ▫️This only took a few hours from start to finish. We applied first with paint brush, let set, then wiped away certain areas for an antique look. Then we applied with a putty knife and smeared it on in certain areas to create a thicker texture.

UPDATE: We loved this limewash fireplace so much, we decided to limewash our home exterior too! You can see the whole process by visiting this post HERE. It was probably the biggest transformation our spec home has had so far. Although we did the fireplace ourselves, we did hire the exterior project out because it was too much for us to handle. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Love this look! Do you have a tutorial of the fireplace makeover saved anywhere? I’d love to try it on mine?

I’m super interested in a tutorial on this fireplace, maybe including all the steps (wood and all). I’m at the stage of fixing to redo my fireplace which is the same break as yours was, and I’m more partial to the Woodlook versus the brick. I like the clean lines of the wood. I’m just a little confused on how to cover the brick with the wood, and then I would like to lime wash the remainder of the brick as you all have done. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am wondering if there is a tutorial or info posted for this full fireplace project? I’m interested in doing this to our fireplace and am wondering where I can find the paint and stain colors?
