Last week, I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for two very dear friends. I love all things party planning, especially party decor! When decorating for a party, you can either be really extreme or really simple. I have to say, I ere on the side of simple, but still make a statement. These DIY fringe party streamers are the perfect “wow” piece to your party, but are super affordable and such an easy DIY!

Fringe Party Streamers- Materials

  • Premium Colored Crepe Paper (you can buy HERE at Papermart)
  • Scissors
  • Clear Packing Tape

Step One

Once you have your materials purchased, cut your crepe paper in half. I purchased the 19 inch crepe paper, so your streamers will be almost 10 inches wide.

Step Two

Fold your crepe paper and make cuts (approximately 4 inches long) every 1/2 inch on your crepe paper. By folding the paper, you can make several cuts at once and not have to cut the full length of the streamers! Do this on both sides of the paper (as pictured below).

Step Three

Once you have your streamers cut, tape at the top of your wall and twist your streams to your liking. When you have the look you are wanting, put another piece of tape at the bottom to hold in place.

See?! Isn’t this the easiest DIY ever???

I love using these fringe party streamers as an accent wall decor piece, but it also works so well for photo opps during your party too! Big effect and very little effort!

About how many rolls did you order to do the size wall you have shown in this picture? I just don’t know how many rolls to buy.

I just purchased mine over the weekend from your idea. I can’t wait to see how it turns out for my daughter’s first birthday party. Thank you!

I love your dining room table and bench. Where did you find these? I tried to find the info on the blog but couldn’t find anything for this table only the white base table.

Love your side chairs. I see on the Arhaus website that they are now paired with your Telluride dining table. Are those chairs the Arhaus Halstead chair with a custom fabric or another brand chair? Please do tell. ?
    Thank you so much.
